Meet Rick

Doing business the old-fashioned way.

Tornado Alley is a small, family-owned business that has been selling and installing shelters in Texas and southern Oklahoma since 1999. We pride ourselves on doing business the old-fashioned way.

We don't do contracts or require deposits. If you call or text, you'll get a quick response from a real person who can answer any question you have about our shelters. No robots, no runarounds, no games.

If you decide to move forward, all you have to do is say "put me on the schedule" and give us some basic information. That's it. Between then and install day, we'll swing by for a free site visit to make sure we have the space we need, and we'll check in a couple of days before installation. The price we quote you is the price you pay when the job is done.

Why Tornado Alley

Six reasons this is the
last shelter you'll ever buy.

01 / Material

6000 PSI Fibercrete

Dense enough to resist water penetration. Fiberglass mixed in for a secondary moisture barrier and added tensile strength. This isn't bagged concrete — it's engineered.

02 / Structure

Rebar on 12" Centers

Steel reinforcement throughout the walls, floor, and lid. When the concrete cures around it, you've got a single monolithic vault with the tensile strength of steel.

03 / Entry

3-Point Steel Door

Heavy-gauge steel, three locking points into the frame, and a spring assist so it opens easy. Wind won't open it. Debris won't jam it.

04 / Testing

EF5 Rated

Above-ground and underground units are tested to withstand EF5 conditions — sustained winds over 200 mph, the highest classification on the Enhanced Fujita Scale.

05 / Install

Under 4 Hours, Typical

Start to finish. One crew, one day, one truck. You go to work in the morning, you come home to a storm shelter. That's the pace.

06 / Warranty

10-Year Coverage

Ten-year limited warranty against defects in material or workmanship in the concrete structure. Steel safe rooms come with a 10-year fabrication warranty.

25Years in the field

A quarter century of getting it right the first time.

Since 1999, we've installed shelters across Texas and Oklahoma for families, ranchers, contractors, and churches. The equipment's gotten better. The crews have gotten sharper. What hasn't changed: we still answer the phone, we still honor our word, and we still show up when we say we will.
