Tornado Alley is a small family owned business that has been selling and installing shelters in Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1999.
We pride ourselves at doing business the old fashioned way. We don’t do contracts or require deposits! If you call or text, you’ll get a quick response from a real person who will be able to answer any questions you may have about our shelters.
If you choose to move forward with the purchase of a shelter, all you have to do is say “put me on the schedule” and give us some very basic information so we can get you on the books. It’s that easy!
Sometime between the time you get on the schedule and the actual install date, we will set up a day/time to do a no cost site visit. This is to meet you in person as well as to make sure we have the necessary space needed to maneuver our equipment around.
We will stay in touch and reach out a couple of days prior to installation day just to make sure nothing has changed on your end. The price you’re quoted is the price you’ll pay when the job is done! The exception to this would be if we hit solid rock and have to get a jackhammer involvedThere is an hourly up charge in that case, It’s very rare but can happen in certain terrains.

We offer 2 in ground options.
6x8 (Original) rated for up to 8-10 people
7x10 (Jumbo) rated for up to 12-14 people
These shelters are made from 6000 psi concrete which means it’s very dense, cutting down on the likelihood of water penetration. It also has a fiberglass component mixed in creating “Fibercrete” which is an extra barrier for water penetration as well as added strength. There is also rebar reinforcement on 12” centers, also providing more strength.
The doors are made of steel with a 3 point lock system and they also have a spring assist for easier opening.
Both sizes also offer an EZ entry option for an additional $300. The EZ model is ideal for people that have mobility problems. It comes with a taller door so you don’t have to bend over as much when entering and also has a less steep angled staircase.
We also offer above ground shelters. We have a 6x8 concrete safe room and offer a variety of custom made steel safe rooms. All shelters, above ground and in ground are tested to withstand EF 5 conditions.

All concrete shelters include a 10 year manufacturer warranty.

Tornado Alley Storm Shelters warrants to the original consumers purchaser of an underground concrete storm shelter that it will repair or, at its sole discretion, replace the shelter if there is substantial water leakage into the shelter caused by a defect in material or workmanship in the concrete structure or int he seal between the two concrete subunits. This Limited Warranty is in effect for ten (10) years from the documented date of purchase as established by a written sales order or receipt.
Exclusions from Limited Warranty
- ALL INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
- ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY.
- All defects, damages, or injuries cause by misuse, abuse, improper installation, improper maintenance, alteration, neglect, or uses other than those for which products were intended.
- All conditions, damages, or injuries caused by normal wear and tear, cosmetic issues, small cracks, climatic conditions, or water leakage around the door and ventilator.
- Door hinges, ventilators, and any other components that may be subject to another manufacturer’s warranty.

Tornado Alley Storm Shelters cannot predict, and does not warrant in any way, actual performance of any storm shelter under any conditions, including conditions of tornadoes or severe storms.
THERE IS NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY ON THIS PRODUCT.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply. Some states do no t allow exclusion of or limitation of how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply. This warranty gives the original consumer purchaser specific legal rights, and the original consumer purchaser may have other rights which vary from state to state.
